Has a lot of good points, I wish I hate wrote it.
On Thursday, I finally made it to the Apple store in Des Peres Mo to get my iPhone looked at. For some reason I wasn’t getting any voicemail notifications on my phone. Even though my appointment was at 2:00, I ended up getting there early. Part of this was because I had nothing else to do, but the main reason was I had no idea how the checking in process for the genius bar worked. As soon as I got there I was greeted immediately, and I was asked what I needed. I was checked in immediately, or so I thought. I didn’t know at the time, but I wasn’t really checked in. After my supposed check in I told to basically wonder the store, and that someone would be with me shortly. I had no problem with this, since I wanted to play with an iPad. The store manager kept walking around talking to people making sure things were fine. After the managers third pass, he was pretty sure I wasn’t checked in. He went, and got me next in line. By this point it was around 2:20 or so. Robin was the name of the person assigned to my case. She had my issue identified and resolved pretty quickly. She was definitely the best of my trip. The problem ended up being some sort of software glitch or crash, somehow it was preventing the notification of my voicemail. My phone seems to be a little speedier now, and the battery life seems better.
On a side note, I now really want an iPad. I told the store manager that I really couldn’t get one because I disagreed with Steve Jobs over some of his BS remarks. He made comment how that Steve’s arrogant opinions won’t change. The way it is looking now the iPad may be my only real option since Microsoft Courier is dead, and the HP Slate is most likely dead.
